Arabian Cement Company (ACC), one of the leading cement companies in Egypt, announced today that it officially received ISO 50001:2011 certification. This certification is granted to companies that apply an efficient energy management system; improving the energy usage mechanisms, and effectively balancing between operational requirements and responsible energy consumption. ACC is the first cement company in Egypt to receive this certification, which is a testament to the company’s dedication to applying the latest international standards to its business model. The certification was granted by the internationally recognized “TÜV Rheinland Egypt Ltd”, after ACC successfully completed the required audit that declared its energy management system compatible with the international standards of ISO 50001:2011.
